The health and safety of our Friends of Chamber Music community is our top priority. Given serious public health concerns and community efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, FCM has cancelled the March 18 piano recital with Benjamin Grosvenor at the Newman Center.
Friends of Chamber Music presents pianist Jeremy Denk in an On Demand virtual recital, available January 20-27, 2021. The New York Times hails Jeremy Denk as someone “you want to hear no matter what he performs.”
One of the most celebrated pianists of our time, world-renowned Sir András Schiff is also a conductor, pedagogue and lecturer. While we had hoped to hear him live in Gates Hall, we hope you'll enjoy this virtual performance of masterworks, recorded in Zürich, Switzerland at the Church of St. Peter.
Sir András Schiff returns to the Piano Series to perform a recital featuring the works of Beethoven, Mozart, and Schubert.
“A pianist of magisterial elegance, power, and insight” – The New York Times
“Michelle Cann is technically fearless, with a bold attack and an enormous, rich sound...But even more than Cann’s
virtuosity, it was her joyous, lit-from-within energy that connected with the audience." — La Scena Musicale
“Denk is a pianist you want to hear, no matter what he performs …” - New York Times
Rana “possesses an old soul that belies her years . . . more than a touch of genius.” – Gramophone Magazine
