Health and Safety
Not sure what to expect?
What you should know as we return to the concert hall.
The safety of our community is of utmost importance as we return to the concert hall. The following rules are in accordance with the University of Denver policy. We ask that you please inform all members in your party about these requirements.
All audiences are required to wear a mask at all times, including inside the concert hall. If you do not have a mask with you, we will provide one.
Proof of Vaccination
To attend a concert, everyone must show proof of completing the full course of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccination shot(s) (including those that are still under Emergency Use Authorization) at least 14 days prior to the concert. When you enter the Newman Center, you will be required to show proof of vaccination in one of the following ways:
- Original or physical copy of the vaccination card from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination, plus your photo ID.
- Photograph of the official vaccination card (such as a cell phone photo) plus your photo ID.
- An official government app or website, such as the myColorado mobile app (available at myColorado.state.co.us).
Children under 12
Unfortunately, children under the age of 12 will not be permitted in Gates Concert Hall. We hope this will change once the younger set becomes eligible for vaccines.
What if I'm not vaccinated?
For those unvaccinated, proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance attended will be accepted.
What if I'm not feeling well?
If you are unwell, please stay home. If you or a member of your party is experiencing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 or have had known exposure to someone with COVID-19, please take advantage of the option to livestream the concert from the comfort of your home. As a benefit for our subscribers, a link to the live stream will be sent to all subscribers the day of the performance. For single ticket buyers, please contact the Newman Center Box Office for options (303-871-7720)
Is seating at full capacity?
We are currently operating at a reduced capacity to allow for social-distanced seating. This policy will remain in effect through the end of the year.
