Ensemble Faucheux – Free Virtual Performance

Recorded in late 2020 against the backdrop of uncertainty, unrest, and introspection, Ensemble Faucheux put together a program spanning 400 years that meets our moment and expresses the power of music to lift, heal, and transform.

This special performance was recorded for FCM audiences at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. Program is available to stream for free through October 31.

“We chose this program in part because this is some of our favorite music to be immersed in.  What an extraordinary time.  We rehearsed masked and distanced in a garage with the door open to the alley where people would occasionally wander or drive by and interact with us in support or surprise.  We even had neighbors write notes of encouragement and thanks.  It was a great reminder of the power of music to lift us out of our every day and remind us of our shared human experience.”

– Catherine Beeson, violist
