Chamber Series

One of the world's top Baroque orchestras, Tafelmusik will explore the rich musical history of 18th-century Leipzig and Damascus, reimagining the coffee houses where the finest musicians of the time played. Trio Arabica joins Tafelmusik to perform music ranging from Handel and Telemann to traditional Arabic song in a sumptuous theatrical setting.

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary Season as the nation's premier repertory company for chamber music, thirteen artists will join FCM for a program entitled "New World Spirit."

The Spektral Quartet makes its FCM debut on December 11. Named “Chicagoans of the Year” in 2017, Spektral is known for creating seamless connections across centuries, drawing in the listener with charismatic deliveries and bold, inquisitive programming.

Returning to our series after their well-received 2017 debut, the Danish will perform two different programs featuring Beethoven string quartets.
