Join Friends of Chamber Music and the Clyfford Still Museum for a Sunday afternoon with the Altius Quartet. This virtual program, recorded live at the Clyfford Still Museum, will stream on the Friends of Chamber Music’s Facebook page and YouTube channel starting at 1 p.m. on December 13. The program will feature pieces by Caroline Shaw, Antonín Dvorák, Libby Larsen, and Florence Price.
The Colorado-based Altius Quartet strives to communicate art to a diverse audience through community engagement and innovative repertoire. Members Hannah Kennedy and Andrew Giordano (violins), Allyson Stibbards (viola), and Erin Patterson (cello) are equally at home as performers, mentors, and educators, and strive to fulfill each of those roles at the highest possible level.
The Altius Quartet is dedicated to expanding traditional notions of the string quartet through inclusivity, versatility, and community engagement. Through the evolving art of chamber music, they facilitate relationships with diverse audiences and underserved communities. They perform and elevate music by living composers paired with the most celebrated string quartet repertoire in an accessible and welcoming atmosphere.
This free community event will be available to view online for 30 days.
