Skride Piano Quartet

A new classical supergroup comprised of four leading European soloists, the Skride Piano Quartet features likeminded musicians who have each achieved success at the highest levels.

Making their debut on our Chamber Series, this “multinational chamber supergroup” (Gramophone), the Skride Piano Quartet—piano, violin, viola, and cello—will perform works by Johannes Brahms and Frank Bridge, and the rarely heard piano quartet by Countess Pejačvić, a Croatian composer and member of the Pejačvić noble family.

PRE-CONCERT TALK:  Join us in the hall from 3:00 – 3:30 PM for a pre-concert talk hosted by former CPR host Chris Mohr, who will be joined by a member of the Skride Quartet to discuss the afternoon’s program.  An avid composer, Chris wrote a Mass at the age of 12, followed by an oratorio by age 16, and then embarked on a major music drama, From the Realm of the Shadow, recorded with the National Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Ukraine.  He has been a classical radio announcer since 1978, hosting shows on KCFR, KVOD, KGNU Boulder/Denver, and Aspen Public Radio while finding time to hike over 1,000 mountains.
