Inon Barnatan, piano and the Viano String Quartet

Pianist Inon Barnatan, performing with the Viano String Quartet, will present The Time Traveler’s Suite, a program designed by Barnatan himself.

Pianist Inon Barnatan, performing with the Viano String Quartet, will present The Time Traveler’s Suite, a program designed by Barnatan himself.  This work includes pieces by Bach, Handel, Ravel, Stravinsky and others – spanning more than 300 years – as if they were movements of a single suite.

The Viano String Quartet, First Prize winners of the 2019 Banff International String Quartet Competition, has been recently named the Nina von Maltzahn string quartet-in-residence at the Curtis Institute of Music for 2021/2022 season.  Barnatan, an FCM audience favorite, is celebrated for his poetic sensibility, musical intelligence, and consummate artistry.

“One of the most admired pianists of his generation”
