Family Music Creation with The Playground Ensemble

Music-making with the Playground Ensemble. Make your own kazoos, compose your own musical masterpiece, and create your own “beats” with analog synthesizers.

We invite families to join in creative play with Friends of Chamber Music.  This fun, free event features The Playground Ensemble, celebrating their 20th anniversary!  Here are just a few of the activities you can enjoy with kids of all ages!

– Make your own kazoos – we’ll have supplies and show you how.
– Compose your own musical masterpiece using colors and shapes, which our musicians will perform on the spot!
– Create your own “beats” with our analog synthesizers.

Look for us in the community area, first floor of the Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas Street.  Free to the community; no reservations necessary.

Want more?  The Playground Ensemble will perform a string quartet concert at 2:30 PM, featuring an eclectic program featuring works by Gabriela Ortiz, Raven Chacon, and Caroline Shaw. Click here for more details.
