DESCRIPTION:In her highly anticipated FCM debut\, Russian pianist Zlata Chochieva brings her deep passion for chamber music to this compelling musical journey.  Alongside Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 13\, Op. 27 and selections from Schumann’s Fantasiestücke\, she explores the vivid soundscapes of Bartók\, Bach\, Sibelius\, Scriabin\, and Liszt. “The program is my own artistic response to a recital program Sergei Rachmaninov himself enjoyed performing\, celebrating the idea and spirit of the fantasy.” \n“I can think of few piano recitals finer than this.”  — Seen and Heard International \nPRE-CONCERT TALK:  Join us at 6:30 PM for a pre-concert talk by pianist David Korevaar\,  professor of piano at the University of Colorado\, Boulder. Korevaar is a founding member of the Boulder Piano Quartet\, and he has performed regularly with the Takács Quartet\, appearing with them on the Great Performers Series at New York’s Lincoln Center.
