DESCRIPTION:The Danish String Quartet takes to the Nocturne stage with two extraordinary performances benefitting Friends of Chamber Music.  This internationally-acclaimed group brings their signature blend of passion\, precision\, and charisma to this unique and intimate Denver venue. \nThe quartet will perform their trademark Nordic folk songs while you enjoy a seasonal four-course dinner crafted by Nocturne’s acclaimed culinary team.  Two options will be available for the entree\, and the culinary team is happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Cash bar\, optional wine pairings will be available for purchase. \nFor the second seating only (8:15 PM)\, a Dessert and Drinks option will be offered\, which includes the second performance and dessert\, served with a glass of sparkling wine or a mocktail. \nA limited number of show-only tickets are also available\, which include reserved seats at the bar or a cocktail table. SUMMARY:Danish String Quartet
DESCRIPTION:One of the world’s most renowned string quartets\, performing to sold-out concert halls around the world\, the Danish String Quartet returns for a third time to the Chamber Series. Musical America’s 2020 Ensemble of the Year\, the quartet will perform works by Mozart and Shostakovich as well as folk music from around the world. \nOn October 8\, the Danish String Quartet was awarded the $150\,000 Léonie Sonning Music Prize. The quartet is the first ensemble to ever win the accolade\, which is usually awarded to individual artists.
