SUMMARY:Paul Lewis\, piano
DESCRIPTION:Internationally acclaimed pianist Paul Lewis returns to the FCM stage to open FCM’s Piano Series\, launching his US tour in Denver with his thoughtfully curated program “Mozart+.” Renowned for his masterful interpretations of the Central European repertoire\, Lewis pairs Mozart’s lesser-known piano works with music by Debussy and Poulenc\, illuminating Mozart’s far-reaching influence and giving fresh attention to pieces often overshadowed by his concertos. From the lyricism of the Sonata in C Major (K. 330) and the drama of the Sonata in C Minor (K. 457) to the wit and charm of Poulenc’s Improvisations\, Lewis’s program is a vivid showcase of both virtuosic brilliance and deep musical insight. \n“…a majestic and insightful performance…” — The New York Times \nPRE-CONCERT TALK:  Join us for a pre-concert talk at 3:00 PM\, featuring Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi\, Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy at CU Boulder.  Dr. Cremaschi is passionate about teaching students of all levels and ages\, specializing in the classical music of his native Argentina.
