SUMMARY:Alisa Weilerstein\, cello and Inon Barnatan\, piano - CANCELED
DESCRIPTION:FCM’s celebration of Beethoven’s 250th Birthday will conclude when Alisa Weilerstein and Inon Barnatan play the complete Beethoven Sonatas for cello and piano. Weilerstein\, a MacArthur Fellow before the age of 30\, has been honored with both the Leonard Bernstein Prize and an Avery Fisher Career Grant. Barnatan is completing his third season as Artist-in-Association of the New York Philharmonic and is an FCM audience favorite returning after last season’s performance with the St. Lawrence String Quartet. \n“Their interpretations were like a series of marvelously expressive close-ups: every note and phrase pinned to an exact emotion\, every emotion saturating the frame.” – Boston Globe \nRachmaninov – Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor
