Spektral Quartet at the Newman Center

FCM is pleased to welcome the Spektral Quartet in their FCM debut, as part of a four-day residency.

Their performance will include the Colorado premiere of Enigma, a multimedia work by composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir and video artist Sigurdur Gudjonsson.  Named “Chicagoans of the Year” (2017), Spektral is known for creating seamless connections across centuries, drawing in the listener with charismatic deliveries and bold, inquisitive programming.

Gain insight into Enigma, the experiential work by Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir receiving its Colorado premiere this evening.  Two members of the Spektral Quartet will lead a conversation about the piece, commissioned by the quartet.  Please enter through the Orchestra or Parterre levels (left side only).  Doors will close at 6:45 PM.
