Music in the Galleries: Violamore Duo
Join us for "Music in the Galleries" featuring the Violamore Duo. Violamore is a husband-wife duo of violists Koko Dyulgerski and Leah Kovach. Bulgarian-born, Koko Dyulgerski performs with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Central City Opera, Opera Colorado, and Colorado Symphony orchestras. As a mentor, he loves teaching advanced violinists and violists and inspiring them to reach their full potential. Leah Kovach grew up in Salt Lake City and was thrilled to join the Colorado Symphony and return to the Rocky Mountains in 2015. She has performed and taught across four continents with ensembles such as the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, the Houston Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Their program will include the following works:
Three American Folk Hymn Settings by Kenji Bunch
Sonata No. 6 for two violas by Jean-Marie Eclair
Nine Fingers, One Finger by Garth Knox
Moonlight Journey by Paul Colette
Sachidao Tsistaev/arr. Golofeev
"Music in the Galleries" is offered in partnership with the Clyfford Still Museum and Swallow Hill Music. If you share Still’s appreciation for music, join us for this live performance in the galleries to experience his work through both sight and sound.
Music is free with admission to the galleries. As a part of our partnership, the museum is offering FCM patrons $5 half price tickets (if purchased in advance) to enter the museum on performance days. To purchase discounted tickets, click here, and use Discount Code MIGPartners.
